ABOUT MARINEIMAGING - 3D IMAGING FOR INVESTORS, DESIGNERS, AND ENGINEERING - POWERPOINT - WEB - VIDEO

Are you interested in developing an idea in 3D but don't know how?

From tools and machines for electronic and plastics manufacturing, to Professional Research Assistant working on the Super Collider, the author of this site can bring experience that will increase your profitability.

The purpose of developing the materials you see on my site is to build things. It is also to help promote solutions for investment purposes, explain concepts, stimulate thinking, reduce errors, train employees, and ultimately increase profits. You don't need to cut open a part to show how the insides work because we can do it in 3D.

HOW ACCURATE ARE THE 3D OBJECTS?

First draft of 82x22 Trawler Yacht. - © 2011 - C.R. Watson, Watson EnterprisesSome 3D developers are "artists" and for them being almost right is good enough. They do not necessarily understand the idea of building models to thousands of an inch. As we developed an assembly we look at the criteria and ask if the parts need to fit very much like they do in the real world. For that reason many of the objects start with the same type information as needed for AutoCAD or Solidworks to generate the machining or fabrication drawing. (In some cases we might reverse engineer the object.) Our goal is to build it life-like in terms of size as far as the computer is concerned. You will also find that our hands-on experience in managing projects, building production fixtures, modeling furniture, and just plain getting into the bilges to measure pumps and pipes and such for accuracy will serve you a long time after the job is done.

Just as with any of the major drafting or 3D engineering programs we enter sizes to at least three or four decimal places and use snap features like those in AutoCAD to align parts. However, since we are not developing the production plans we will not include every detail. Only those needed to create the visual image are necessary. Our job is to convey the concept for the purpose of reducing cost. Not milking a project when the "K-I-S-S" principle is sufficient.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE 3D IMAGE IS CONSTRUCTED

Test ideas before committing to construction. 3D imaging with 1:1 design criteria from Autodesk products. We can take AutoCAD drawings and convert them to 3D images and animations for print, video, web, CD, USB delivery in a variety of formats. - © 2011 - C.R. Watson, Watson Enterprises(1) Our customers can use the final production for their investment opportunities in marketing, advertising, sales/service in professional print, video, and other multimedia types.

(2) We can install your products on larger marine or energy 3D projects and help secure a preference for your product when it comes to designing a vessel with those types of products.

(3) We can develop training material using these same models. The training model can be "flown" together to show how something is assembled. We can mix the model animation with real footage for a more complete production. The training model can be used to put together a customer training video or print package for installation or service after the sale.
