VISUAL DOCUMENTATION OF PROJECTS |
-
-
-
From
the moment you call we can help start the process of documentation.
We are one of the few
companies that don't mind telling you how to do it. With todays
digital technology the process is easy.
-
- Visual documentation can cover a lot of
venues. From simply keeping a chronological history of where
you've been - to using the material in other projects.
-
-
- Within 5 minutes (or 5 years) of an event
you can have your images posted on a web site and still be able
to use them for magazine ads or video productions... if
you do it right. This is just one of many projects
we documented and a few of the thousands of pictures taken for
Kennedy that helped continue bringing in projects over the years.
Between each picture there might be as many as a few dozen, to
hundreds more to use without concern for copyright infringement.
We can do the same for you. Below are two brief samples
of documentation stories that allowed us to cross over from one
to the other

CLEAR
CREEK ENVIRONMENTAL FOUNDATION GETS NEW BARGE - April 08,
2002 - Having grown up in the same region of Southeast Texas
shipyard owner Chris Kennedy (Kennedy Ship and Repair, LP) and
Rex Ward (co-founder of CCEF) have many of the same interests
in mind. Keeping our waterways and fishing industry healthy
for the next generation.
-
- Looking at the damage to their own boats
created by trying to keep Clear Creek, an estuary of Galveston
Bay clean and healthy, CCEF co-founder Rex Ward approached long-time
friend Chris Kennedy for help. Building a tough, bayou size barge
for the foundation proved to be a worthwhile endeavor. Each year
the foundation organizes a community wide clean-up effort to
remove trash and debris from the winding waterway resulting in
the involvement of more than 400 volunteers and the removal of
almost 40 tons of trash that has accumulated over the previous
year.
-
- While the foundation works to keep Clear
Creek, an estuary of Galveston Bay, clean and healthy by hosting
an annual cleanup and year-round seeding and planting of grasses
to protect the shores, Kennedy is tasked to build a barge of
sufficient size and strength to endure the rugged environment.
See more by visiting the associated sites at www.clearcreekcleanup.org.
-
- Watson Enterprises, MarineImaging developed
the foundations logo, produced their first brochures, followed
the events for two years documenting the cleanup efforts and
made a video production chronicling the events for the local
access televion station.

- KENNEDY CLOSES CONTRACTS ON
FIVE 105' GULF TRAWLERS
-
- July 27, 2004 - After almost four years
of practically living in a Galveston shipyard documenting the
construction and repairs of numerous vessels, following the process
with still photos and videography from contract discussions to
sea trials, Watson Enterprises has included some of their photos
on this page. Much of this work was used to develop marketing
videos, web sites, magazine ads, and sales brochures for the
shipyard.

Rather
than go through a sequence of photos, this animation shows the
process used to flip the boats that were constructed in inverted
fashion. Built watertight, the dock was flooded and the
boats were floated upside down to the side of the graving dock.
Holes were cut into the bottom and one side was partially flooded.
A crawler crane was then used to flip the boat. This was known
as a "soft-flip" which allowed bottom construction
to proceed further than if it had to be flipped on dry land. |
